Nein, mal im Ernst, ihr arbeitet ca 40 Jahre. Ein langfristiges gutes Karrierekonzept macht mehr Sinn als 2-4 Jahre Höchstbeträge zu verdienen. Das Konzept kann eine US-Bude beinhalten oder eben auch den Start bei einer Boutique für deutlich weniger. Gerade wenn man Doppelverdiener ist, ist es (öfters) doch schöner, wenn man in seinen jungen Jahren noch etwas vom Geld hat, statt nun zusammen statt 200-250k nun 300k brutto zu verdienen, dafür aber das Leben nur aus dem Bürofenster sieht. Meine Meinung zumindest.
Genau so ist es. Bin bei einer T4 und mit 100k eingestiegen. Dafür kann ich mich auch mit Themen abseits der DD befassen, darf Mandate vollständig alleine betreuen und bin um 19h raus aus dem Büro. Dazu fördert mich mein Partner und ich habe das Gefühl, die Arbeit realistisch auch in 5 Jahren noch gerne zu machen. Wenn alles gut läuft auch als Partner. Wer hingegen mit 140k einsteigt, muss halt auch
7 Tage durch arbeiten, kann sich eine Familie auf keinen Fall leisten und ist in der Regel nach 1-2 Jahren verbrannt.
Stell Dir vor, es gibt Menschen, die andere Lebensentwürfe haben und damit glücklich sind.
Hat doch niemand in Abrede gestelltfür die gibt’s ja Kirkland und co.
Wobei ehrlicherweise die Arbeitslast von Amis zu anderen Kanzleien auch etwas übertrieben wird.
Beispiel: Bei vielen MC Kanzleien zB A&O ist billable Anzahl Pflicht und alles andere pro Bono, orga etc. geht on top. Heißt, wenn man iwelche Schulungen oder Pro Bono macht, ist man die Stunden erstmal hinten dran.
Bspw bei Latham kann man sich pro Bono und andere soziale Aspekte (ka ob zu 100%) zumindest teilweise auf die Stundenvorgabe anrechnen lassen.
Bei einigen Kanzleien gibt's auch keine klare Vorgabe (zB HM), da ist eine Woche BD u.ä kein Thema.
Freund war bei Tw im Kartellrecht und ist da wieder weg, da Wochenendarbeit die Regel war. Etwas was man von der Kanzlei nicht erwartet hätte. Dagegen habe ich Freunde bei FBD und LW, die Senior sind und Wochenenden nach eigenen Aussagen immer frei hatten.
Kurz die Einstufung in Tier 1-4, Amis, Briten, deutsche Kanzleien, sagt nicht zwingend was über W-L-B aus (außer Milbank, LE und SnC, die arbeiten wie die Verrückten :D).
Das mag sein. Aber meine Kumpels bei Latham hatten dafür ihre Billable Vorgabe auch schon im Oktober voll. Und haben weiter gearbeitet ;-) und die Aussage „vier Stunden pro Tag im Urlaub arbeiten ist doch ok“ kenne ich auch nur von denen.
Die Kollegen bei den Amis haben in der Regel echt nochmal 20% mehr gemacht als die bei FBD und co. Aber überall gibt’s natürlich eine Range.
